Presque Isle Historical Society is striving to meet the State of Maine guidelines for opening by encouraging social distancing, frequent hand cleansing, wearing face coverings, and limiting numbers allowed inside our venues so as to protect you, our volunteers and our historic collections. The Maysville Museum will be open for the season through October 27. All trolley tours have been cancelled for the season at this time.

10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Blacksmithing, Civil War Re-enactment, Quilting, Spinning
10:00 to 11:00 a.m.: Quill Pen Making/Writing
11:00 a.m. to 1:00p.m.: Wednesday Evening Fiddlers (dependent on being able to cross the border)
11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Handkerchief Doll Making
12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.: 19th Century Children's Games
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Butter Making
1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.: Candle Dipping
3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Beeswax Candle Making
Haunted Lantern Tours (Walking Tours ONLY this year due to COVID-19), Friday and Saturday, October 16 and 17, Tours at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., $5 per person
Tours start and end at the Historic Fire Station, 11 Church Street
Roosevelt Day at the Museum - FREE - Tuesday, October 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Maysville Museum, 165 Caribou Road
Celebrating President Theodore Roosevelt's birthday by showcasing the Roosevelt artifacts from the Society's collections
Victorian Christmas at the Estey
Start the event by attending "Victorian Christmas at the Mall", $10 per person, featuring a presentation on Christmas Traditions from the Victorian era, a speical reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and other special treats - starts at 1:00 p.m.
End the evening with a magical tour of the 1875 Vera Estey House, 16 Third Street. The 2-story Victorian house will be decked out for Christmas with Victorian finery featuring costumed interpreters, wassail, live Christmas music, a scavenger hunt and much more! $10 per person. 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. New exhibits and decorations every year! Make it a tradition!
